Temporary Works Design

Design of multiple temporary works jobs in the UK and Ireland including façade retention, basement propping, propping of formwork, propping of existing floor during construction of basements, site hoarding. The photos below are from 81 & 82 North Wall Quay, where the existing façade was retained using shipping containers connected to the outer walls and filled with a calculated amount of ballast. The end walls were supported while a double basement was excavated either side of wall by spanning temporary bracing between towers either end. The façade retention and basement propping have survived Storm Ophelia and Storm Amy and the tidal surges associated with each.
